Hiking and wildlife tours with Caucasus Birding:

Tour I: Tbilisi – Mleta - Kheli lake - Truso Gorge - Tbilisi

Day 1: Tbilisi – Mleta

Drive to Mleta, walk and nature observation in Aragvi Gorge. Overnight stay in tents near the waterfall.

Day 2: Mleta - Kheli lake

Hike and observations walk up to the Kheli lake, overnight stay in tents.

Day 3: Kheli lake - Truso Gorge

Walk up to Truso Gorge through the Kheli pass (3 300 m), overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Truso Gorge - Tbilisi

Observations and walk up to Truso canyon, Drive to Tbilisi.

Needed equipment:

Water-proof dress, warm dress, hiking shoes.

Tour II: Tbilisi – Kazbegi (“Gergetis Sameba”, Gergeti glacier, Juta, Chauxi canyon, Truso Gorge, Truso canyon) - Tbilisi

Day 1: Tbilisi – Kazbegi

Drive to Kazbegi; nature observations around Gudauri on the way; walk up around Gveleti, overnight stay in the hotel “Stepantsminda”.

Day 2: Kazbegi

Walk up to the Charch “Gergetis Sameba” (2 100 m). Hiking (4 hour) to the Gergeti glacier. Overnight stey in tents (2 950 m).

Day 3: Kazbegi

Return to Kasbegi, drive to Juta, one of the highest villages in Europe (2 340 m). Walk (2 hours) and nature observations in Chauxi canyon. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Kazbegi -Tbilisi

Drive to Truso Gorge, Observations and walk up to Truso canyon, Drive to Tbilisi.

Tour III: Tbilisi – Kazbegi - Tbilisi

Day 1: Tbilisi - Kazbegi

Drive to Kazbegi, walk and observations around Gudauri on the way, overnight stay in the hotel in the town of Kazbegi.

Day 2: Kazbegi

Observations walk up to and around Sameba Temple, overnight stay in the same hotel.

Day 3: Kazbegi

Drive to and walk up Sno Gorge, overnight stay in the same hotel.

Day 4: Kazbegi

Observations and walk up Chkheri Gorge, overnight stay in the same hotel.

Day 5: Kazbegi - Tbilisi;

Drive to and walk up Truso Gorge, Drive to Tbilisi, observations on the way.
